Authorities warn of ‘armed and dangerous’ man wearing body armor in Lee County

Authorities warned residents in Lee County on Wednesday night of a man they said is armed and dangerous and wearing body armor.

Michael Shane Bodine Green, who was wearing blue jeans and no shirt, was spotted in the 100 block of Lee County Road 399, according to the Lee County Emergency Management Agency.

"He is NOT to be approached," the EMA warning stated.

Green threatened a family in Smiths Station with a gun, setting off the alert and a manhunt for him, WRBL reported.
